Grew up in Yorkshire, spent 5 years in London – 3 at university and 2 working in the civil service, then moved to Birmingham. Has lived in Moseley for nearly 50 years and attended St Agnes for 40+ years. Started a new career in post-16 education and worked in a college in Birmingham and then for 24 years in the Black Country at Halesowen College starting as Head of the English Department and then becoming Admissions Manager with responsibility for advice, guidance and the admissions process for the whole college.
Has been involved in a range of activities at St. Agnes, including a stint as Churchwarden. Now deals with the bookings for the Hall, both the regular groups and the one-off users. Meets lots of nice families who want to have their children’s (up to Year 6) birthday parties there on Saturday afternoons. It’s a good venue because there’s plenty of space to run around and a nice kitchen. They seem to enjoy it because a number come back the following year!

Born and raised in Luton, Rosemary studied History at London University. She worked initially as a History and Economics teacher then in Adult Education teaching ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages). Traveled around the country with her then young family while her husband was completing medical training before settling in Birmingham 27 years ago. Rosemary started coming to St Agnes about 9 years ago, finding a warm welcome, kindness, friendship and, most important, a renewed relationship with God. She’s loved being part of the church family since then, becoming particularly involved in Messy Church which has been great fun with enthusiastic helpers and children!
Enjoys reading, badminton, experiencing different foods and cultures and spending time with her now grown-up family.
